About Speaker

Dr Lorena L. Sabino is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Forestry and Forest Governance at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). She holds a PhD in Environmental Science and leads the ECLIPSE Project on Solar Radiation Modification Ethics, in collaboration with Ghana. Her research addresses climate change impacts, community resilience, and human security, with a particular focus on community-based mangrove rehabilitation. In April 2024, she received UPLB’s Outstanding Researcher Award for her contributions to sustainable development and climate adaptation.
