Refik Anadol, born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1985, is an internationally acclaimed media artist, director, and pioneer in the aesthetics of machine intelligence. Currently based in Los Angeles, he leads Refik Anadol Studio and RAS LAB, a research practice dedicated to exploring innovative approaches to data narratives. Anadol also teaches at UCLA’s Department of Design Media Arts, where he obtained his Master of Fine Arts.
