About Speaker

Dr. Steven Lichty works with transformative foresight at Frontline Futures and is a managing partner and co-founder of REAL Consulting, where he provides research and evaluation services. He has 25+ years’ global experience in humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding sectors, with clients including the World Bank, USAID, Freedom House, Oxfam, Porticus, and numerous UN agencies. Steven holds an MPhil in Futures Studies and a PhD in African Studies and was a Futures Fellow with the Association of Professional Futurists. He is currently engaged as a board member of the Participatory Futures Global Swarm, a foresight consultant with the Grey Swan Guild and Institute for Development Impact, and an editor for the Journal of Futures Studies and African Studies Quarterly. Steven resides in Nairobi, Kenya, where his projects explore the nexus of human security, quantum social theory, and trauma-informed well-being within marginalised communities.
