Sheikh Dr Majid Sultan Al Qassimi is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a key figure in the UAE’s efforts towards food security and sustainability. As the former Chief Veterinary Officer of the UAE, Sheikh Dr Majid played a central role in developing the UAE’s Food Diversification strategy with the Food and Agriculture Organization. He is now a founding partner at Soma Mater Management Consultancies, where he continues to develop food security and sustainability strategies for the private sector and governments. Sheikh Dr Majid also serves on various food and agriculture boards, advocating for youth engagement in STEM careers and veterinary education.
