About Speaker
Brenda Ogembo is a public policy and governance researcher-practitioner focusing on legislative development, devolution, and citizen engagement. She advocates for meaningful public deliberation in governance institutions, particularly in the Global South. Brenda holds a PhD in Politics from the University of Birmingham, UK, and an MA in Public Policy from King’s College London. Currently serving as Principal Clerk Assistant and Deputy Head of the Senate Liaison Office in the Parliament of Kenya, she oversees research on devolved governance and is cultivating a new research agenda on Futures for the Senate. She is a Chevening and Commonwealth Scholar.
