About Speaker

Jay Ogilvy taught philosophy at Yale University (1967-1974) and Williams College (1975-1979). He was employed at SRI International (formerly Stanford Research Institute, 1980-1986), where he was Director of Research for the Values and Lifestyles Program. He co-founded Global Business Network in 1987, where he worked until 2007. He briefly served as dean of Presidio Graduate School, which offers an MBA in ecologically sustainable business practices (2008). Now semi-retired, he lives with his wife in the red rock region of southern Utah. He has authored, co-authored, or edited nine books, and many of his essays will soon be published in The Collected Essays of James Ogilvy, 5 vols., ed. David Dennen and Daniel Tarpy, Amazon, 2024.
