About Speaker

Claudia Colmo is a registered architect based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She earned her BArch from TongJi University in Shanghai, China, and enrolled for two years in the "Computation in Architecture" master’s program at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen. Currently pursuing a PhD at the Chair for Bio-hybrid Architecture (DKA), she works on the FUNGATERIA project, funded by the European Innovation Council’s Engineered Living Materials Pathfinder Challenge. Her research and practice focus on the intersection of biology and architecture, utilising biomaterials, digital fabrication, and computational design to create bio-hybrid systems that seamlessly integrate living complexes.
