Ridiculous Futures

Shakil Ahmed is an educator, storyteller and futurist at Ridiculous Futures, the Bangladesh country lead for EdTech Hub and Resident Futurist at a2i (Agency to Innovate), Government of Bangladesh. As a futurist, he has explored the futures of health in 2030 with BRAC, the futures of education in 2041 with the Prime Minister’s Office and the future of work in 2040 with young trade union leaders and Freidrich Ebert Stiftung. As an educator, he has taught thinking skills to kindergarten children and corporate professionals in Singapore, innovated low-cost school models at the BRAC Institute of Educational Development, has coached Alumni and managed public affairs at Teach For Bangladesh and nurtured communities for leadership development for change-makers working to address poverty and social justice at Acumen Academy Bangladesh. His Bachelor’s was in Theoretical Physics at the National University of Singapore and his Master’s was in Educational Leadership and School Improvement at BRAC University. In 2019, he was recognized as a Young Global Changer at the Global Solution Summit and as a Joseph Jaworksi Next Generation Foresight Practitioner.
