Dr. Gabriele Rizzo is a passionate foresight executive with 16 years of track record in transitioning foresight research into results: he led foresight for 9 billion dollars of Public-Private Partnerships in the EU, for industrial projects in Research, Development, and Innovation winning more than 25 billion dollars in 2021 alone, and for 1.2 trillion dollars’ worth of defense planning. He currently advises the Chief Scientist of the United States Space Force and NATO. Previously, he was the ministerial advisor for Strategic Futures and Foresight to the Italian Defense Minister. Gabriele was honored in 2017 with the title of Member at Large for Strategic Foresight and Futures Studies by NATO, and in 2022 he was elected as one of the 30 UNESCO Chairs worldwide in Futures Studies and Foresight, the youngest recipient ever. His latest book is Routledge’s best-selling “HR Futures 2030: a Design for Future-Ready Human Resources.” He is currently working on Springer’s “Handbook of Foresight, Strategy, and Futures Studies for Defense and Security.” Dr. Rizzo is passionate about humankind, complexity, imagination, and Peace.
