Dubai Future Forum offered futurists from around the world the opportunity to taste the foods that could become mainstays of our diets in the future.

During the forum, which represents the world’s largest gathering of futurists, Newform Foods hosted the MENA region’s largest cultivated meat tasting event.

30 guests were invited to safely taste cultivated lamb meatballs. It is predicted that cultivated meat will become a major source of protein for people in the near future. The taste test was a sight to behold as food was prepared in front of guests.

One of them said: “While the lamb was being cooked, the smell filled the room. It looked, cooked and tasted exactly like the lamb I grew up eating. The future is exciting and I’m looking forward to buying this type of meat when it’s widely available.”

Brett Thompson CEO and co-founder of Newform FoodsFoods, commented: “We’re honoured to be able to showcase some of the work we’ve been doing over the last few months with a global audience here at the Dubai Future Forum.

“This was the largest tasting we’ve hosted in our company’s history and what an incredible platform to do so! We’d like to extend a massive thank you to the Dubai Future Foundation for having us and for the opportunity to show the world what we’re cooking up for the future.”
