Overview

Over the last decade, we have accumulated unprecedented amounts of data from all corners of the world. 'Big Data' has become one of the top buzzwords, circulating regardless of the industry or sector, yet do we all really understand its implications? This talk will cover just that, an introductory session defining the often misunderstood concept and how it is changing our everyday lives and our future.

About Speaker:
Professor Christina Stathopoulos is originally from the US but has been based in Madrid, Spain since 2012. She is dedicated to the world of data, working as an Analytical Consultant at Google and an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Analytics at IE Business School. Alongside her corporate and academic work, she is a regular conference attendee and speaker supporting women in STEM and emerging technologies.
